Michelle Eckelbarger and Travis Thaxton were married Dec. 29, 2017, by the Rev. Ed Fritz, at First United Methodist Church, Goshen.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Goshen High School; in 2003 from Indiana University, South Bend; and in 2010 from Olivet Nazarene University. She works as a fifth-grade teacher at Model Elementary School in Goshen. She is the daughter of Nancy Eckelbarger, Goshen, and the late Dan Eckelbarger.
The groom graduated in 1996 from Goshen High School. He is employed by Monteith's Best One Tire & Auto Care. He is the son of Pat Thaxton, Millersburg, and the late Billy Thaxton.
Stephanie Hershberger was the matron of honor. Heather Everingham, Georgianna Slagel, Carrie Hill, Dee Conn, Alexis Thaxton and Amanda Eckelbarger served as bridesmaids.
Annika Ridge and Grace Longcor were flower girls.
Nixon Hershberger and Noah Hershberger were ring bearers.
Larry Gill was the best man. Tommy Thaxton, Fred Ratcliff, Tim Wolfe, Nate Hershberger, Camm Nickell and Blake Eckelbarger were groomsmen.
Dayton Hernandez served as usher.
A reception for the couple took place at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, with music provided by the Music Place.
After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple resides in Goshen.
